First Pond #1 © 1998

This photo was the first of a series taken on "First Pond".
I was in our boat on the way to Lower Saranac Lake when I passed by this section of "First Pond."
The light was perfect, as was the color of the leaves. A quintessential Autumn Day in the Adirondacks.
The tree stump to the right had been struck by lightning many years ago.
