Located in the "North Country" of Upstate New York, the Adirondacks are a natural marvel. They hold a serene, yet raw beauty I find incredibly appealing, especially to photograph. If you have never been, I highly recommend Autumn as the season of choice. Your best bet to "leaf peep" is around the end of September, when the trees are exploding with color. I hope my photographs, which were inspired by previous Adirondack photographic greats such as Nathan Farb and Frank Houck, convey a sense of what the Adirondacks are about. I hope you enjoy looking at them, as much as I enjoyed the experience of capturing these images on film. - Andrew Jay, February 19, 1999
